Edge Of Darkness (6/10)
I thought this suited Mel Gibson very well. It's what he can do, it's what he can deliver; but I would have liked to see more emotions a la Ransom even though this was literally on the edge of darkness. One thing that the movie lost me a few times was when it got too talky. There was a lot of talk and I can't emphasise enough how much talking there was. I don't mind talky films but it got a little hard for me to follow, especially with the Boston accent even though I heard that it was a very good one from Gibson. But I'm going to complain that it wasn't dark enough from Gibson's character. He lost his daughter, he can go darker. And that scene when he first visited his daughter's boyfriend who immediately tried to kill him, that was baffling why there weren't more damages done.
