[/caption]The beginning and middle were quite entertaining but the ending was quite a dud, unfortunately.I've never read the book so I guess I'm more forgiving as compared to my friends who have. I thought director Ryan Murphy did well adapting this book to the big screen. I was entertained for the most part though I do admit some parts were quite slow. But it had to be there to build up the story. How closely was the adaptation I do not know, but there were a couple of lines that were very and cheesy. But characters development was great. The cast was great. The direction too I thought was great as Murphy brought out all the visual aesthetics and flavours of each country, particulary Italy. And I also liked how distinct each c0untry represented the title. As for the ending, however, I really disliked it. I thought it was too abrupt, too "Hollywood" kind of happy ending, too inconsequential.
