While inspired by real life events, which showed the absurdity and the lengths leaders of war will go to to get an edge, the hilarity didn't come out as much as it should have. I was waiting for things to happen but until the end things were kept quite stagnant.
Though this almost seemed like the prequel to Star Wars Episode 1 when George Clooney's character divulged the concept of the Jedi warriors to Ewan McGregor's character. There were parts like these that showed the silliness and how futile some war efforts have been and these were brilliantly executed but there weren't enough of them.
There was a strong cast of big names who all looked like they enjoyed their time onscreen while making the movie. But the situations created in the story just weren't enjoyable enough for the audience
