What To Expect When You're Expecting (5/10)

With such a big cast, I thought the director Kirk Jones did well in telling the story. However, the jokes didn't translate well onto the silver screen; and this is me assuming that the book must be great in order to get the Hollywood treatment. Also, the story was just dull mostly.

Maybe it's because I couldn't relate to the movie. Everything felt somewhat foreign, from the pregnancy to fatherhood. Maybe that's why I didn't find anything portrayed interesting.

And a massive miscast was the father and son portrayal by Ben Falcone and Dennis Quaid. Sure, both of them are great at what they do individually but here, they looked so out of place. Falcone looked more like an adopted son to Quaid and that would have been more believable.

The only story I enjoyed watching, although still very predictable, was the one with Chace Crawford and Anna Kendrick. So that says it all.
