The Mall Cineplex Public Service On The Quiet Ones

Am I the only one who experienced this during the 5.30pm screening in Cinema 2 today?

During the most climactic sequence of The Quiet Ones, when everything went into chaos and bodies flying left and right, the lights in the cinema got turned on dimly. And once that sequence was done, the lights went off again.

I'm guessing this was because there had been some customers who were too frightened watching this movie and gave feedback to the cinema? Or, with all the previous "incidents" during horror movies that the management didn't want to risk anymore customers going into hysteria?

And it seemed to be only for this movie because when I watched Oculus yesterday at, coincidentally, the same time and same cinema, this didn't occur.

Anyone else can confirm if that the management of The Mall Cineplex is in fact instructed to turn on the lights?
