My Big Fat Greek Wedding Sequel

Remember this little movie from 2002? There's a dark horse story here, where Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson having read and loved the screenplay, but could not find a movie studio to produce it. But because they believed so much in it, they went and produced it themselves.

With only a budget of USD 5 million dollars, the movie went on to make more than USD 300 million.

And this week, a sequel has been announced where the story will check back with Nia Vardalos and John Corbett's characters' life, where they are now more than a decade later and with kids of their own.

But the thing is, who is the audience for this movie? It's been so long now that I don't know anyone will still be interested.

Therefore, the movie would still have to have a very small budget because it won't have that kind of success as the original in order to be profitable.

The good thing though is that the original cast is returning and will still be produced by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.
