World War Z's Sequel Moving Ahead

Brad Pitt's World War Z's success with over USD 500 million has garnered a sequel, and just announced, the writer and director for Tom Hardy's Locke, Steven Knight, is set to do the screenplay. Knight's other hit movie was Eastern Promises but he also did the somewhat dull Hummingbird with Jason Statham.

This sequel will be directed by J. A. Bayona who just did the tragedy movie, The Impossible, starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. So in that sense, they look like a good fit.

Pitt will continue to sit in the producer's chair for this sequel but no release date as of now. But I'm hoping to see more of that crazy zombie pile-up.
