Disney Announces Voice Actors For Marvel's Big Hero 6

Fans have been waiting for this moment for a while now, wondering who will be voicing what character in the first Marvel property to go animated by Disney. Let's find out.

The lead character, 14-year-old prodigy Hiro Hamada, is voiced by Ryan Potter; a newcomer lending his voice to a big screen character for the first time.

Baymax, the bot that Hiro's brother Tadashi created is like robot version of a Care Bear, will be voiced by Scott Adsit; who is probably best known for playing opposite Tina Fey in 30 Rock.

Fred, who has a clawed alter ego, is voiced by one of my favourite comedians, T. J. Miller, who has appeared in movies such as Transformers: Age Of Extinction and the How To Train Your Dragon series. He's also currently making TV series Silicon Valley an Emmy nominee.

Go Go Tomago, an athletic girl that has speed on her side, is voiced by Jamie Chung. She was part of The Hangover series, one of the members of Sucker Punch and will next be seen in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.

Honey Lemon, another girl character who is a whiz kid in the chemistry labs, is voiced by Genesis Rodriguez who was most notable in Man On A Ledge, and then playing opposite the late Paul Walker last year in Hours. She will next appear in Tusk.

Wasabi, martial artist and weapon expert, is voiced by Damon Wayans, Jr.; who is currently on the hit TV series, New Girl. Wayans was also part of another comedy series Happy Endings, and will next be seen with New Girl cast member Jake Johnson in Let's Be Cops.

Tadashi Hamada, the caring elder brother to Hiro and creator of Baymax, is voiced by Daniel Henney. Henney has had a few small roles in big movies like The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Alistair Krei, the big corporate guy that's always on the look out for the next technological breakthrough, is voiced by Alan Tudyk; whose TV series Suburgatory seems to be going strong into the third season even after I gave up on it mid way through the second.

Professor Robert Callaghan, Tadashi's mentor and head of the robotics program in the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, is voiced by the great James Cromwell who really needs no introduction. His most memorable roles for me must be the Babe franchise and also The Green Mile.

And finally, Aunt Cass, guardians to the Hamada brothers, is voiced by another comedian and SNL alumni, Maya Rudolph.

So there you have it. A quick rundown of the voice actors. And check out below the character posters that were released together with the casting news. (Pictures sourced from superherohype.com)
