Editorial: Kevin Feige Hints Avengers And Guardians Of The Galaxy Team-Up
It probably wouldn't surprise any fans that someday this team-up between the Avengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy will come.
Let's just put things into perspective.
Both Avengers and Guardians belong to the same studio, that is Disney-Marvel. We already saw Thanos' face at the end of. In the comics, both the Avengers and Guardians fought Thanos before. The Collector in the comics works for Thanos.
Josh Brolin will voice Thanos in Guardians, and possibly some motion-capture as well, so that means Thanos will appear but isn't the main villain. And they wouldn't get someone like Brolin's calibre and not use him even more. In Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Ultron will be the main villain. Thanos may make an appearance since he was also featured in the stinger of The Avengers.
Just by speculating, Thanos could very well be the main villain for The Avengers 3, he's certainly powerful enough a villain to warrant a team-up between the Guardians and the Avengers.
In a recent chat with IGN, Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios' president) said the following, "Part of the fun of the comics is that could happen. Any character could interact with any other character because they inhabit the same time period and the same universe. And certainly it is the inclusion of Thanos most specifically that is a declaration to audiences who are paying attention that this is connected to those other universes. Part of the fun is that it could happen someday. I don’t know when that would be. Or maybe I know and I’m not going to tell you!”
In that last sentence, I'm just going to say he already has a plan for it. And that it's coming, just a matter of when. I'm going to say the team-up will most likely come in The Avengers 3.
