Alice In Wonderland Sequel Confirmed With Date

Lewis Carroll's beautiful novel, Through The Looking Glass, is the sequel to her equally beautiful Alice In Wonderland. And the sequel to the 2010 Alice In Wonderland movie by Tim Burton has now come with a confirmed title, Through The Looking Glass.

With Burton being the producer only this time, the sequel will be led by The Muppets' director, James Bobin. Slated to be released on 27 May 2016, the sequel will also bring back Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway, among others.

Newly recruited Sacha Baron Cohen, who has worked with Burton for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street and also Bobin on his Da Ali G Show, will be the antagonist for the new movie.

I am excited about this sequel. The critics had a different opinion but I found the first movie by Burton to be beautifully crafted, visually pleasing and with that Burton-esque flair. So I'm all for a sequel even though Burton will no longer be directing because I also enjoyed Bobin's take on a property like The Muppets which I have no interest in whatsoever, and made me liked it.

And basing this sequel on the original work of Carroll as well, I can't wait.
