Next King Kong Movie Is Skull Island
Legendary Pictures have announced at the San Diego Comic-Con that they have a script ready for another King Kong movie, this time a prequel with the title Skull Island.
If you're familiar with the lore, then you'll be familiar with the name Skull Island, where King Kong lived with other gigantic monsters.
This brought back memories of the 1976 King Kong movie where there were some fascinating monsters (through the lens of a child) that waged battle with King Kong, and King Kong always came out triumphant to my little mind's delight.
This should be interesting, to see who King Kong was before he climbed the Empire State Building.
And the writer for the script is none other than the writer of the recent Godzilla, Max Borenstein. Legendary Pictures was also reported to be wooing Joe Cornish of Attack The Block fame for the director's role.
