Steve Carell Will Star In Movie Based On Looney Tunes
Warner Bros. is currently developing a movie based on the fictional company in the Looney Tunes cartoon, ACME.
Remember the Road Runner cartoon? Wile E. Coyote, pictured above, is always trying to blow the Road Runner up with explosives - supplied by the company ACME.
The movie is reported to be a hybrid between live action and CGI - think along the lines of the recent Smurfs movie, or the much older but more related Space Jam that featured many Looney Tunes characters.
Steve Carell will be playing the lead character, may or may not be the only human in the movie. Writers for X-Men: First Class, Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, will be writing the script.
Although a perfect fit, I'm not sure if I want to see Carell in this kind of a movie that sounds like a lot of goofing around. With his upcoming Oscar-buzzed role in Foxcatcher, I wouldn't want him to fall back to his natural instinct that could be the same old boring stuff. So hopefully I'm wrong in this assumption.
