It's a no-brainer, after all those "movie posters" featured at the end credits, everyone's expecting more than waiting for this to be announced.
Sony Pictures have hired once again Rodney Rothman to work on the screenplay for the third instalment of the Jump Street franchise. Rothman hasn't written a substantial lot but struck gold with 22 Jump Street - I thought it was a step down from 21 Jump Street personally but a lot of people enjoyed it nonetheless.
Directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord have not signed on to direct but will definitely stay on to produce. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will no doubt reprise their roles. I'm guessing Ice Cube will too.
I like the direction this franchise is headed. The first one was definitely a pleasant surprise, the second one followed in the same heartbeat, so I definitely wouldn't mind another one.
