Now You See Me 2 Shares Release Date With Uncharted

Lionsgate has reported that the Now You See Me sequel will be released on 10 June 2016 - the very same weekend the first movie was released 3 years before it.

Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Michael Cain and Dave Franco are reported to be back to reprise their roles from the first one. But in the director's chair this time will be John M. Chu.

Opening on that same day will be Sony's video game adaptation, Uncharted, to be directed by Seth Gordon of Identity Thief and Horrible Bosses fame. No word yet on who will play the lead here.

Of the two movies, I'm definitely going to see Uncharted first. Now You See Me looked very interesting as a heist movie, and I actually enjoyed most of that movie, but the third act lost me almost completely. And now the sequel to bring in someone like Chu, it's diminishing my interest more and more for it because I haven't liked anything Chu has directed other than anything to do with dance.
