Marvel Studios must have finally worked out an acceptable deal with Benedict Cumberbatch because, with no fanfare, they announced that he will be playing Doctor Strange in Marvel's Phase 3.
And according to Kevin Feige, "Stephen Strange's story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity. In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character."
Not my first choice, but hey, you can never go wrong with Cumberbatch!
Doctor Strange is scheduled for a 4 November 2016 release - still a painful 2 years away.
