If you're wondering whatever happened to Jennifer Aniston (I know, I know, nobody ever wonders that anymore), well, she must have gone on a self-discovery pilgrimage and then landed on a great, dramatic role in Cake.
This is just what she needs. No more of those lame rom-coms or comedies. This is the kind of break that she needs to show what she can do. Bring back that kind of performance like in The Good Girl and really do some real acting.
Plus, enough time has gone by for people not to see her as Rachel Green anymore, so that helps too. I think the world now is ready for Jennifer Aniston, the actress.
In Cake, Aniston is the main lead and the main focus of the movie. From the trailer, too, she looks like she's carrying this movie albeit with a fantastic supporting cast that includes William H. Macy, Anna Kendrick, Felicity Huffman and Sam Worthington.
Here's hoping the movie is great.
