MacGruber (4/10)

Jorma Taccone has made a name for himself through his work on Saturday Night Live and MacGruber was his first venture into directing a movie for the silver screen.

Now while he has a flair for creating funny shorts, in a full-length feature turned out to be a little underwhelmed.

Coupled that with a weak writing collaboration with Will Forte, creator of the character of MacGruber on SNL; the result turned out to be uninteresting for the most part.

What the movie had was some major talents in Val Kilmer, Ryan Phillippe, Kristen Wiig and Powers Booth; but even so they couldn't make the movie any more interesting.

While there were some funny moments, the plot points weren't enough to really get behind this silly movie. In a way, it just wasn't silly enough.
