Sean Penn in an action movie, flirting being an action movie star, sign me up.
I've always enjoyed Penn's selection in movies. He has not let me down yet. Even the much disliked Gangster Squad, I've enjoyed him in that, too.
This first trailer, however, didn't really appeal to me in a great way. It looks pretty generic. Directed by the original Taken's captain, as well as To Paris With Love - Pierre Morel, it looks like there's going to be a nice blend of story and action.
Also starring Idris Elba, Ray Winstone and Javier Bardem; but at this point I'm more interested to see Penn in this action flick because it really isn't something you would see all the time.
But then again, I could be misled by the trailer and The Gunman is actually heavy on drama. Who knows.
