I'm really tired of haunted house concept of horror movies, where it's usually the wife finds out that their kid has been possessed and the husband just doesn't want to believe it. Half way through then they finally seek out help, by then I'm already bored to death.
But this reboot of Poltergeist looks like they may speed up that whole first half into the first quarter, hopefully; and focus more on finding their missing daughter. There's hope yet for this one.
And it's starring Sam Rockwell, who chooses his projects very carefully. So yes, there's hope yet for this one.
There seems to be a lot of CGI as well, so that could be interesting too. The problem, however, is that this trailer just doesn't peak my interest...
Also starring Jared Harris, this movie will be released on 24 July 2015. Strangely enough, not on Halloween season.
