First International Trailer For Theron's Dark Places

Comparing Gone Girl's trailer and Dark Places' first international trailer, it's definitely not as intriguing or stylized as what David Fincher's work.

However, there's still that mysterious quality to the story and who knows, Gilles Paquet-Brenner's direction may be just as competent enough to bring Gillian Flynn's vision once again to enthrall audiences on the silver screen.

But for now, I can't say I'm very impressed just yet. None of the scenes had any gravitas and none of the performers looked interesting enough. Even Corey Stoll at the end of the trailer felt kind of flat but it wasn't really his fault but more of the line he had to deliver. Nothing about this grasp at me yet.

Starring Charlize Theron, Stoll, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christina Hendricks, Nicholas Hoult and Tye Sheridan. No confirmed US release date as of yet but should be later this year.
