Theron In Next Gillian Flynn Adaptation
In case you don't know, yet, Gillian Flynn is the author of Gone Girl. But if you do, you may not remember that Flynn took to the pen again to adapt Gone Girl for the silver screen - which the movie became one of last year's best.
Filled with intrigue and mystery and winding plot twists, Gone Girl hooked and shocked audiences worldwide, all the way to the box office.
Now comes the next adaptation of Flynn's novel, Dark Places; a film produced in France but starring Hollywood's stars.
Charlize Theron leads the cast that's made up of names that you already know, or names you will become familiar with soon enough within the next couple of years: Corey Stoll, Tye Sheridan, Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicholas Hoult and Christina Hendricks.
Even though Flynn did not adapt this time, but with her source material, the story is bound to be dark, and with twists as well.
The premise itself is already dark, with Theron playing a character who witnessed the killings of her family members when she was a child, and now she's forced to confront that tragedy again when secrets surrounding it begin to unfold; where she may have accused the wrong person and put him in jail for all those years.
Adapted and directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner, the movie will be released later this year in France first.
Below is an official poster released for France.
