Disney Making Live-Action Mulan Next

With the success of Cinderella, Disney is getting bolder with their remaking of those classic properties. So next one on their list, Mulan.

Whether you like these remakes or not, you better get used to it because this is the direction for Disney now. They will be turning all their big names into live-action (maybe, just maybe with the exception of The Lion King).

If Cinderella is a standard to go by, I'll be looking forward to these new movies coming out in the next few years.

And with Mulan, this could have that oriental epic war set pieces; and they could even go darker in the storyline. After all, the story itself really isn't a cheerful one; with Mulan having to pretend to be a boy in order to take the place of her ailing father who was forced into taking up arms in the time of war.

Also, what Disney is doing now with these remake is to change some elements just enough to be different but still being faithful to the original. There are hits and misses, for sure - Maleficent being the miss; but still, it's these changes will keep things fresh for the older audience.

With Mulan, there are currently four classical cartoons being made into live-action; the other three being Alice In Wonderland: Through The Looking Glass, Dumbo and Beauty And The Beast.
