Writers For Avengers: Infinity War Movies Confirmed

Following on the heels of the Russo brothers being confirmed to direct the next sequels to Avengers, Infinity War Part I and Part II, yesterday Marvel has also confirmed who the writers will be.

And it's going to be another duo, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Both have been writing together and writing for Marvel movies ever since Captain America: The First Avenger, to Thor: The Dark World.

They are also solely responsible for the script for one of the best Marvel movies to date, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They also wrote for Michael Bay's Pain & Gain.

While I haven't seen Joss Whedon's writing for Avengers: Age Of Ultron, I thought he did a perfect job for The Avengers movie.

Now comparing the first Avengers to what Markus and McFeely has done for Marvel so far, be it the weaker first Captain America or the very compelling second one, I think it would be a step down if Avengers: Infinity War went with the duo instead of Whedon. There were a few dull spots when it came to the story that they wrote. Whedon's The Avengers had better pacing all around.

But if we just look at Markus and McFeely's track record, from The First Avenger to The Dark World and ending with The Winter Soldier, they are climbing. And who knows, by the time they reach Infinity War, they may have mastered their craft for writing a Marvel movie.
