Ghost In The Shell Moves Forward Its Release Date

Scarlett Johansson's Ghost In The Shell live-action movie was announced with a release date back in January.

But Walt Disney Pictures has announced yesterday that they are moving the release date up by two weeks to 31 March 2017.

Not that this matters to us movie fans since it's still almost two years away, but it's hard not to wonder if the move in the release date is due to Furious 8 being confirmed for the previously announced date of 14 April 2017.

Furious 7 has since its release held on to the number 1 spot right up until Avengers: Age Of Ultron was released. So I would agree that this shift is a smart move by Disney.

Ghost In The Shell will be directed by Rupert Sanders.
