World War Z Sequel Has A Release Date
We've known Brad Pitt is set to reprise his role in the sequel to 2013's World War Z. But now we've finally have a release date by Paramount Pictures.
With a script written by Steven Knight (who wrote Tom Hardy's Locke) and directed by Juan Antonio Bayona (who directed Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts in The Impossible), the release date is targeted to battle it out with 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four 2 on 9 June 2017.
This doesn't seem like a good idea as the two franchises share mostly the same target audience. Though not as direct of a competition as last year's face-off between Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Captain America: Civil War, where the former was the one that blinked and moved the date; but will we see one property shift their date as well?
It's still a long time to the summer of 2017 so we'll see if anyone backs down in due time.
