The prequel, and sequel, to Interstellar. I jest but it sure feels like it with Matt Damon's character and how he got stranded in that planet where Anne Hathaway wanted to go save him.
Enough about Interstellar. The Martian is about Damon being stranded on the planet Mars while his team plans for a rescue mission that the NASA has rejected.
And this first trailer shows just enough to entice us without showing too much. It's a very nicely cut trailer giving us glimpses of its very notable ensemble. And I love hearing Jeff Daniels speak over the trailer, his voice adds so much gravitas.
Also starring Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Mara, Jessica Chastain, Sebastian Stan, Sean Bean, Kristen Wiig and Michael Pena. With a script by Drew Goddard, let's hope this latest offering by director Ridley Scott - who hasn't had a proper hit in almost a decade - is a decent film.
