Transformers Universe Hires Female Writers

It's been a while ever since Paramount Pictures announced more Transformers movies in the vein of a Transformers cinematic universe. From spin-offs to prequels and more sequels, and as much as critics' distaste for all Transformers sequels, the franchise is going to make even more butt-loads of dough.

Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg have hired an eclectic range of writers so far to be the brainchild for a Transformers universe. This "writer's room" hopefully will see the franchise create better stories and dialogues going forward since all the sequels thus far were horribly written.

Already added into the "room" are Robert Kirkman of TV's "The Walking Dead" and the upcoming "Fear The Walking Dead", Art Marcum and Matt Holloway of Iron Man, Jeff Pinker from TV's "Fringe" and "Lost", Zak Penn of The Incredible Hulk and X-Men 2, and Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari of the upcoming Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

Now it is reported by Deadline that the first two female writers are Christina Hodson who is currently writing for the remake of The Fugitive and also the upcoming thriller by Naomi Watts titled Shut In, as well as newcomer Lindsey Beer.

The "writer's room" will be under the close supervision of veteran writer and producer Akiva Goldsman.

To me, these are all good news. And with spin-offs and prequels, it means that we'll finally be getting Transformers movies that are not directed by Bay.

This franchise definitely need some fresh blood and new eyes to bring it to newer heights that will be both successful financially and critically.

I was hoping Transformers: Age Of Extinction would be the one that redeems the entire franchise but it was one of the worst! I've had enough of Bay helming this franchise. Time for some new blood. And the new blood begins with this set of writers.
