Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures have just released the first trailer for The Night Before, and it's a red band trailer.
I was hoping it would be funnier but a lot of the jokes just didn't land for me. The funniest scene was in the limo with Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie, but everything else was a little flat. Especially that first scene when the trio, including Joseph Gordon Levitt, was about to step on the keyboard on the floor, that kind of went nowhere.
But maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just the first trailer. But then I remember, this is a Jonathan Levine movie. So it may not just be a straight-up comedy. It probably has a meaningful and well-written story to support the comedy.
Also starring Jillian Bell, Mindy Kaling and Lizzy Caplan, written by Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, Jonathan Levine and Ariel Shaffir. Directed by Levine, this marks the second movie he's collaborating with Levitt and Rogen. The first one being 50/50.
The Night Before will be released on 25 November 2015.
