A new chapter of the Rocky franchise begins here, with Creed. A passing of the baton, somewhat, from Sylverster Stallone to the younger generation represented here by Michael B. Jordan.
From Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema, the first official trailer has dropped today.
That opening scene of Jordan getting psyched up is fantastic. And playing the Human Torch for the upcoming Fantastic Four probably helped with maintaining that body for this movie.
I loved this trailer. It looks awesome. And I loved how little Stallone is featured in it as a whole - he only shows up three-quarters into it.
When Jordan said, "I'm his son," that gave me goose bumps! He's such a great actor and I'm really excited to see whatever he does.
Creed opens on 25 November 2015 - right in the thick of the awards season. Director Ryan Coogler may bring Jordan all the way to the Academy Awards next year, something which he almost did with Jordan in Fruitvale Station last year.
