A big revelation for Rogue One's cast has just been released at Disney's D23 Live Action Panel.
I'm now officially confused as to what to call it because previously it was Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, and now it's A Star Wars Story.
But anyway, who cares, check out the cast photo released!
It's Donnie Yen! A previous report that went viral, which I poo-pooed as the article did not make much sense, stated that Yen has been cast for Episode VIII, where his character would meet up with Han Solo. (See why I poo-pooed it now?)
But Yen was in fact cast. Not for Episode VIII but for Rogue One. And seeing this cast photo with him in it really makes my day now. I like most of Yen's work, and he's a legitimate martial artist. Adding him into the fold can only make action sequences better.
The rest of the cast include names that we've already heard confirmed or rumours of: Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker. And new names like Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Jiang Wen.
