It took me a minute to realise and confirm what About Ray's subject matter is, because I haven't heard anything about this movie and, in the first few scenes, I wasn't sure if the story is really heading in that direction. And it is.
Elle Fanning plays Ray, a boy born in a girl's body. And his mother, played by Naomi Watts, is helping her to get "the operation".
Also starring Susan Sarandon and Tate Donovan, directed by Gaby Dellal who also wrote the story. But there's no official date of release as of yet, though I'm guessing it should be later this year because this looks like Oscar bait. And the three ladies may have a shot at nominations.
