Lea Seydoux To Play Female Lead In X-Men Spin-Off Gambit

After all the commotion created by some irresponsible reports about Channing Tatum quitting Gambit and then finally signing on, it's nice to know that the project is in full-steam ahead.

Today, Deadline reports that star of Blue Is The Warmest Colour and the upcoming Bond sequel, Spectre, Lea Seydoux has been offered the leading role for the X-Men spin-off.

Seydoux, who most likely will sign on, will play Belladonna Boudreaux, a.k.a. Bella; childhood sweetheart of Remy LeBeau, a.k.a. Gambit.

It was also reported that Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation rising star Rebecca Ferguson was also contesting for this role but dropped out to take on the adaptation of The Girl On The Train.

Gambit will be out on 7 October 2016.
