After we heard last year's Academy Awards winners Michael Keaton and J.K. Simmons dropped out of Universal Pictures' upcoming King Kong reboot, Kong: Skull Island, the movie seemed to have lost its shining stars.
Yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter brought word that Toby Kebbell is looking to sign up to join the cast which still has Tom Hiddleston leading it, and recently also added Brie Larson. Smauel L. Jackson is still unconfirmed at this point.
To have Kebbell in another ape movie, why not. Kebbell was not great in the recent Fantastic Four reboot and I haven't seen him enough at this point so I'll still give him the benefit of the doubt. Honestly, he wasn't utilised well in Fantastic Four, no actor was.
So adding his name now to this project has increased my interest for the movie once again, though not as high as previously.
The movie will be released on 10 March 2017.
