The X-Men spin-off Gambit seems to keep releasing troubling headlines, but this one definitely isn't a rumour. The Hollywood Reporter has released a statement that Wyatt has officially stepped down due to "a push in the start date now conflicts with another project".
Is that a real reason or just a code for not being able to see eye-to-eye either with 20th Century Fox or Channing Tatum and his producing team? We'll never know.
But THR did mention an inside source saying this was due to a change in the script and also an increase in the film's already bloated budget which will extend the shoot and hence, pushing for an earlier start date for filming.
At this point in time, everyone else on the team creating Gambit is still intact and the release date remains to be 7 October 2016.
