Jeremy Irons And Brendan Gleeson Join Assassin's Creed
20th Century Fox's Assassin's Creed has gained a bit more traction as of late. Today, Deadline reports that two accomplished actors, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson, have been added to the cast.
The two will join Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Michael K. Williams in the UbiSoft Motion Pictures and New Regency movie game adaptation.
It is also reported that Irons and Gleeson will both play paternal figures; Irons is to play Cotillard's father while Gleeson will be Fassbender's.
I'm a bit trepidatious about this news because it's already October, and the movie is set to release on 21 December 2016. Yet, they are still casting big names like these to be in the movie. Even if the two do not have big roles to play in this movie, but I can't help but feel that this is going to be a very rushed job, what with the post production work and CGI that's sure to follow with a movie like this.
Hopefully there won't be any more delays to this project, because at one point it was just touch-and-go.
