After the release of the character posters last week, Lionsgate today has released a first trailer to their upcoming mythical adventure, Gods Of Egypt.
This movie looks like it's going to be filled with CGI and green screens. It looks crazy and not necessary in the positive sense of the word.
Everything about it looks and sounds cheesy and corny, the characters morphing into gigantic creatures that's not unlike Transformers; this looks like it's going to be completely silly and ridiculous and just using Egypt as a backdrop for what would be a giant pile of mess and disaster.
But I am going to watch it! I'm sure I'm going to hate myself while walking out of the cinema but for now I'm ready to switch my brain off and just go into this mindlessly.
But what's even more ridiculous are the two posters released in conjunction with this trailer. They look nothing like what the movie is about and one of them gives a horrible representation at the same time.
While the golden one still have some inkling of Egypt, the silver one looks more like a Transformer robot or the recent Marvel's Ant-Man. Check them out below.
Starring Gerard Butler, Brandon Thwaites, Brenton Thwaites, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Chadwick Boseman, Rufus Sewell, Abby Lee, Elodie Yung, Courtney Eaton and Geoffrey Rush.
Directed by Alex Proyas, the movie opens on 26 February 2016.
