Most popular as the psychopathic inmate in Prison Break, Robert Knepper has joined the Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media sequel to Jack Reacher, with the subtitle, Never Go Back.
According to Deadline, Knepper may not be playing the main antagonist, which is what I immediately thought because he's got that look of a crazy mastermind. Instead, he will be playing a former military general who is now a CEO of a private military company who is not afraid to do what is necessary.
The movie will see Cruise returning to one of the less popular or successful roles but hoping to make the sequel better than the original. I'm actually quite surprised that casting is still going on as the movie is coming out later this year. But that probably means Zwick has a small role in the movie.
Directed by Edward Zwick and written by Zwick, Richard Wenk and Marshall Herskovitz; the movie will be out on 21 October 2016.
