The most interesting thing about this new movie from Skydance is that it's written by the Deadpool writing duo, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Oh, and also it's starring Ryan Reynolds.
We've also learned that Rebecca Ferguson is already set to play the female lead. And today, Variety has reported that Jake Gyllenhaal is being negotiated to star opposite Reynolds and Ferguson.
The sci-fi story is about discovering signs of life from samples collected from planet Mars by the crew of an international space station, which proves to be more intelligent than expected.
Life will be directed by Daniel Espinosa, who also did Safe House; but no word yet on a release date.
