London Has Fallen - Review (7.5/10)

Bravo to director Babak Najafi for making this movie better than it actually was.

When Gerard Butler's character was storming into the building with the British military forces, that one lengthy shot following Butler - making the sequence looked like a video game - was intense, breathtaking and amazing.

That car chase scene across the London scenery, again, another very intense and tight choreography with great direction. We haven't had one this good in a while. And what about that helicopter sequence? This movie was super action-oriented with a great action director.

London Has Fallen was not a movie that would be remembered for any acting scenes or plot developments. In fact, if another sequel was made, Aaron Eckhart's president has got to be the most unlucky of them all for always being captured and tortured. They want him to be a kick-ass president, sure, but maybe not a third time? Even Taken 3 had to change direction.

I believe Morgan Freeman had less to do this time round, Jackie Earle Haley and Melissa Leo were forgettable, but Angela Bassett was a great addition.
