Michelle MacLaren was the first director to depart a DC property, Wonder Woman. Today, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Seth Grahame-Smith is also walking out of The Flash; citing creative differences.
However, for this particular piece of news, I am a little in favour of it because Grahame-Smith is a first-time director and him scripting the movie is what I'm most worried about. His resume includes the critically-bombed Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and this year's Pride And Prejudice And Zombies.
The first treatment was actually penned by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who were also looking to direct until they found a little Star Wars movie focusing on the early years of one named Han Solo.
Perhaps WB and DC felt that Grahame-Smith's vision was too far away from Lord and Miller's, that's why the "creative differences".
The Flash will still retain its release date for now, 16 March 2018, with Ezra Miller to star.
