Arnold Schwarzenegger To Return To Action-Comedy In Why We're Killing Gunther
Arnold Schwarzenegger is said to be returning to action-comedy after a foray of unsuccessful actions and thrillers.
Schwarzenegger has done many great comedies in his earlier days and his first action-comedy I can remember was The Last Action Hero.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he is joining the movie Why We're Killing Gunther, which will feature Saturday Night Live's star Taran Killam as the triple-threat. Killam wrote the script and is going to make it his directorial debut. He will also star in it alongside his wife, Cobie Smulders who has a recurring character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I think this is a good move for Schwarzenegger even though I have liked what he has done so far as he tries to give his acting career another resurgence. But if something isn't working, then you need to tweak it. And he also has the proven record to back it up. Schwarzenegger is a funny guy and his larger-than-life charisma will help sell comedy.
No word yet for a release date but I'm guessing it should be early next year.
