Justin Lin To Direct LeBron James In Space Jam Sequel
After a lot of rumours have been going on about LeBron James stepping into Michael Jordan's basketball shoes for a Space Jam sequel, and there seems to be more concrete news today.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James will indeed be the lead in the half-live-action-half-animated sequel; and Justin Lin from The Fast And The Furious franchise is currently in talks to co-write and direct the movie.
I enjoyed Space Jam for what it was when it came out back in 1996, but I was never hoping for a sequel. However, with technology and possibly a better actor (see James' respectable work in last year's Trainwreck); this could capture that little Looney Tunes magic and get an update for the audience today.
No word yet on a release date for Space Jam 2.
