Elizabeth Banks Leaves Pitch Perfect 3 As Director

Right after we learned of the change in the official release date of Pitch Perfect 3 comes the news that Elizabeth Banks is leaving as director.

According to Variety, the split was amicable due to Banks' increasingly hectic schedule. But I do have to see it as good publicity management in the sense that the change in release date could be a reason that Banks had to leave.

However, Banks will still play one half of the commentating pair, Gail; while also still serving as producer.

The movie will be out on 22 December 2017.
