I previously wondered why we have not yet heard a lot of casting news on John Boyega as compared to Daisy Ridley but that all has changed.
Yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Boyega has boarded the next project directed by Academy Award winning director Kathryn Bigelow.
The project is still untitled but is described as a crime-drama that will be shooting in Boston and Detroit, focusing on race-induced riot of 1967. This is Bigelow's immediate follow-up to her 2012's Zero Dark Thirty.
The movie is set to be released somewhere in 2017.
