This first trailer is a very different one from the teaser trailer, but no less amazing.
The use of "Rise Up" by Andra Day is one of the best choices ever in movie trailers as a background music. It not only fits but it highlights and raises the message of the story in a way that you have no choice but to get behind the character.
And that character created by Nate Parker brought me to tears. He's probably going to win Best Actor come award time next year.
The movie, and I can't wait, will be out on 7 October 2016. This will be another great one by Fox Searchlight.
