Sony's Emoji Movie Gets A Title, Announces Transylvania 3 And Smurfs Sequel
Sony Pictures Animation today has announced two of their upcoming animated movies for the next two years.
First is the recently announced Emoji movie which has gotten everyone scratching their heads. How do you create a story out of those yellow heads that can only be found in your mobile phones? We'll find out on 11 August 2017. As for now, the confirmed title is Emojimovie: Express Yourself.
Another news should come as no surprise as Sony plans to create Transylvania 3 with the same director of the first two, Genndy Tartakovsky. Following the financial success of its first and second movies, a third one was sure to be in the works. The movie will arrive on 21 September 2018, which will see the return of its cast - which includes Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez and Andy Samberg.
Another Smurfs movie has also been announced even with the poor critical response of most of the ones that has come before. Smurfs: The Lost Village will actually be the first to arrive on 7 April 2017, which will be directed by Kelly Ashbury, who also did Shrek 2 and Gnomeo & Juliet.
This is the least of my interest but from what is being reported by ComingSoon, this iteration will mark a return to the tone and style of its original comic book creations. So maybe it is something to look out for.
