San Diego Comic Con is well underway and one of the trailers that was debuted in Hall H itself was Open Road Films' upcoming drama Snowden second trailer.
We got to see in this trailer a lot more new scenes and a lot more of the beats for the movie. There's a lot more of Rhys Ifans who look very good in this role. Also, it's time Shailene Woodley sheds off the stench of The Divergent Series which the last installment isn't even getting a cinematic release anymore and it's going straight to TV. This should be the perfect role for Woodley to do just that.
The only name listed at the end of the trailer whom we have yet to see at all is Nicolas Cage. He's been doing a lot of crap lately and hopefully this will show us the old Cage that cared about acting.
Also, there hasn't been any Oscar buzz for Gordon-Levitt here, which is disappointing. Last year he had a chance with The Walk but didn't make the cut. Looks like history is going to repeat itself again.
Directed by Oliver Stone, Snowden will be out on 16 September 2016.
