Sony Pictures is remaking the 1990 original Flatliners which was directed by Joel Schumacher, and which Kiefer Sutherland starred as one of the medical students who triggered a near-death experience by stopping their hearts. And that led to some paranormal activities happening.
According to Deadline, with this remake, Sutherland is to play a seasoned doctor and the students this time will be led by Ellen Page, Diego Luna and Nina Dobrev. The orignal Swedish version of The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo director, Niels Arden Oplev, will direct; with a script from Source Code writer Ben Ripley.
With all these players in place, everything looks good for the remake of this classic horror flick; which should be out next year.
