Oscar Isaac Joins Steven Spielberg's The Kidnapping Of Edgardo Mortara

Variety has reported that the next movie for the great Steven Spielberg, after the recently released The BFG and next year's Ready Player One, will be The Kidnapping Of Edgardo Mortara. Spielberg has suddenly become very busy.

The movie is adapted by Tony Kushner from the novel by David Kertzer. And it has already attached Mark Rylance to play Pope Pius IX.

Now it has added Oscar Isaac to the movie as a "co-star", so it could mean that the main actor still has yet to be cast.

Production will begin in early 2017 with a tentative release date in late 2017; which is a little confusing because Ready Player One is scheduled to be released in March of 2018. So Spielberg will be working on post-production for Ready Player One while filming this one? I guess he's not busy enough.
