Universal Pictures has released its first trailer and poster for the upcoming heartwarming dog movie, A Dog's Purpose.
At first I was very sceptical about the movie as it looked like something silly and cheesy. But once Dennis Quaid's character appeared, I saw the potential of a tearjerker on the way. That doesn't really say it's going to be a good movie but I am less sceptical now.
Moreover, the dog is voiced by Josh Gad, who has not disappointed yet in that department.
Based on the novel by W. Bruce Cameron, the movie is directed by Lasse Hallstrom, who recently did another heartwarming movie of the same tone, The Hundred-Foot Journey.
But because the release date is set for 27 January 2016, that's the only indication that this movie is going to be a disaster.
